A chamber orchestra of seventeen French and New Zealand musicians with Daniel Rémy as Concertmaster performed Shaker Loops by John Adams, dans la nuit (world premiere) by the young New Zealand composer Robin Toan (NZSO National Youth Orchestra Composer-in–Residence 2005, APRA NZ Professional Development Award, ADAM International Young Composers’ Competition), and the Serenade for Strings by Nigel Keay. The New Zealand violinists Vanessa Tam and Charmian Keay participated in the orchestra on this occasion thanks to the generous support of the France / New-Zealand Friendship Fund. The musicians who participated in this concert : Violins : Daniel Rémy (Concertmaster), Charmian Keay, Vanessa Tam, Magali Baron, Céverine Tomati, Iwona Gotowecka-Janaillac, Valérie Baisnée, Matthieu Coeffe, Daniele Steer. Violas : Nigel Keay, Cyprien Busolini, Judith Godeberge. Cellos : Manuella Le Picard, Cristelle Costes, Dimitri Kindynis. Double Basses : Guillaume Pagnon, Raphaël Schwab.
